The Redline Project Part One

0

Inspired by Undesign the Redline; an interactive exhibit that explores the history of Redlining, a tool used by lawmakers and banks to segregate populations based on race and socio economics status. The exhibit showed MyMedia students the effects of structural racism and classism in cities and neighborhoods both nationally and locally in Cleveland. MyMedia youth explore four Cleveland neighborhoods using the Regional Transit Authority Red Line train, traveling to meet and interview residents about their neighborhood’s social and economic issues. The youth learn how WE can come together and undesign these systems with intentionality.
